Countertop self-service terminal

The customer exchanges currency.A few days later they pay for roaming.

People entering a currency exchange office are already travelling or have just arrived. It is a highly relevant audience for travel connectivity, yet today that customer usually leaves with cash alone.

Equipment provided on loan No stock to manage Customer support handled by us
Upfront cost The device is provided on loan, with no rent, deposit or implementation fee.
Stock to order An eSIM is digital, so there is nothing to order or keep in inventory.
Connectivity cost We provide the device connectivity and pay the data bill.
The opportunity

Today that same customer creates no revenue beyond the exchange margin.

Exchange margins are tight and depend on rates outside your control. eSIM sales add revenue from your existing footfall without taking staff time or meaningful counter space.

What we install

Self-service countertop terminal

A compact device with integrated payment sits beside the service position. Customers complete the purchase independently while exchanging currency.

  • Its footprint is similar to a card reader, so it fits even at a compact counter.
  • Staff do not operate the sale: the customer selects and pays on the device.
  • We are the seller and issue the customer invoice, so the transaction does not pass through your till.
  • The same format also works at hotel reception desks and tourist information points.
Implementation

We handle the full setup

Delivery, installation, configuration and payment testing are on us. You provide the location and a power outlet.

Sales moments

When customers buy

This is not about pushing an extra product. It is about making it available at exactly the moment when the traveller is already thinking about mobile data.

01

Exchanging money before departure

The trip is concrete enough for the customer to buy currency. Mobile data belongs on the same checklist.

02

Long-haul destinations

Distant trips often carry the highest roaming risk, making the value of a travel plan easier to see.

03

Visitors after arrival

An international visitor exchanging money needs mobile data immediately.

04

Waiting at the counter

Existing dwell time becomes an opportunity for a fully self-service purchase.

What you get

The complete operation, handled by us.

Your role is to provide the location and make the offer visible to travellers. The equipment, payments, fulfilment and after-sales service remain our cost and responsibility.

Equipment provided on loan

We deliver, install and commission it. There is no rent, deposit or implementation fee. Maintenance and replacement in case of failure are on us.

Connectivity and payments

We provide and pay for the device connectivity. Customer payments are processed through our acquiring setup and do not pass through your till.

Partner dashboard

Track sales, commission and settlements in real time, broken down by location. Periodic statements are generated automatically.

Commission on every sale

Commission is calculated automatically after the customer payment is confirmed, using the rates agreed in the contract. There are no monthly sales targets or low-season penalties.

No new operational burden

What you do not have to do.

Additional revenue only makes sense when it does not require another full-time role. That is why the list of responsibilities we retain is longer than your task list.

  • You do not buy stockAn eSIM has no physical form. There is no inventory to order, count or finance.
  • You do not invoice travellersWe are the seller of the service. Your side issues only the agreed periodic commission invoice.
  • You do not handle claimsQuestions about installation, coverage and refunds go directly to our customer support team.
  • You do not pay for equipment or dataThe device is provided on loan, while its SIM and data plan are paid by us.
  • You do not maintain the softwareUpdates and monitoring run remotely. We can see the device status before an issue is reported on site.
  • You do not process buyer dataCustomers enter their details directly in our system. We act as the data controller for the sale.
Implementation

Four steps to the first sale.

No integration with your operational systems is required. After the location and formal approvals are agreed, we deliver a ready-to-sell setup and train the relevant staff.

  1. 01

    Conversation and setup selection

We review traffic, available space and whether the sales flow should be self-service or staff-assisted.

  2. 02

    Contract and commercial terms

The agreement sets out commission, channels and locations. Each physical device is handed over with its serial number recorded.

  3. 03

    Installation and training

We deliver and commission the device and run a test payment. If staff assist with sales, training takes only a few minutes.

  4. 04

    Sales and settlement

Customers buy, commission accrues automatically and you track results in the dashboard. We close settlements periodically under the agreed commercial terms.

Partner questions

What partners ask before signing.

Commercial terms are agreed individually because they depend on location traffic and the chosen setup. The operating model stays consistent.

Is your question missing? Ask us
Does this affect our till or accounting records?

No. The payment is processed on our device through our acquiring setup, and we invoice the customer. Your side receives only the agreed periodic commission settlement.

Can several locations be managed centrally?

Yes. The dashboard reports sales and commission separately for each branch, while settlements can be handled centrally under the agreed model.

What does it cost us?

There is no upfront cost. We provide the device on loan without rent, deposit or an implementation fee, and there is no stock to buy. We only expect the equipment to be placed where it has a genuine opportunity to sell; persistently inactive equipment may be moved to another location.

Who is the seller to the end customer?

Payments Lab sp. z o.o. is the seller of the eSIM service, issues the customer invoice and remains responsible for fulfilment. You provide the location and visibility and receive commission in return.

How and when is commission paid?

Commission is calculated automatically after the customer payment is confirmed and the applicable refund period has passed. Settlements are closed periodically and paid against your invoice under the commercial terms agreed with you. The partner dashboard shows sales and accrued commission as they happen.

What if a customer has an eSIM problem?

The customer contacts us directly using the details shown on the purchase confirmation and in the app. Your staff do not need to install eSIMs or troubleshoot phone settings.

Does the device need access to our Wi-Fi?

No. We provide the device connectivity and pay for it. The setup only needs power and mobile coverage; it does not connect to your corporate network.

Can several locations be managed from one account?

Yes. The dashboard separates sales and commission by branch, while settlement can be organised centrally or by location.

Who is responsible for customer data?

We are the data controller for the sale. Customers enter their details directly in our system, so you do not collect, store or process them.

How do we get started?

We begin with a short conversation about traffic, available space and the right setup. We then prepare the agreement and commercial terms. Delivery and installation are handled by us.
